The Bulgarian Evangelical Alliance serves as the historical successor of the Alliance of Evangelical Churches, which was founded and registered in 1909, but whose work was put to an end by measures of repression in 1948 on behalf of the ruling regime. The Bulgarian Evangelical Alliance is a partnership between the five founding denominations and four denominations that were accepted as regular members in May 2005, as well as another 12 affiliate members (para-church organizations, working in various fields of Christian living).   More..
