I was intrigued the other night as I watched a documentary on TV of a group of Indigenous Peoples working together to make a bridge across a river. Each of them on a chosen day had brought a collection of vines which had been woven into a single rope which in itself was not very strong.

“One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. As they sailed, he fell asleep, a squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.

During the GA we will focus very much on the "One". It's unity in worship, in prayer, in ministry and in advocacy that we seek and that we want to strengthen. One body. One voice. Yes!

The main use of voice is to communicate. “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” (John 5:24). The Good Shepherd uses His voice to guide and guard His sheep (John 10).
